42. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Life among the Believers

43. Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles.

44. All who believed were together and had all things in common;

45. they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.

46. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts,

47. praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

42. उन्होंने प्रेरितों के उपदेश, संगत, रोटी के तोड़ने और प्रार्थनाओं के प्रति अपने को समर्पित कर दिया।

43. हर व्यक्ति पर भय मिश्रित विस्मय का भाव छाया रहा और प्रेरितों द्वारा आश्चर्य कर्म और चिन्ह प्रकट किये जाते रहे।

44. सभी विश्वासी एक साथ रहते थे और उनके पास जो कुछ था, उसे वे सब आपस में बाँट लेते थे।

45. उन्होंने अपनी सभी वस्तुएँ और सम्पत्ति बेच डाली और जिस किसी को आवश्यकता थी, उन सब में उसे बाँट दिया।

46. मन्दिर में एक समूह के रूप में वे हर दिन मिलते-जुलते रहे। वे अपने घरों में रोटी को विभाजित करते और उदार मन से आनन्द के साथ, मिल-जुलकर खाते।

47. सभी लोगों की सद्भावनाओं का आनन्द लेते हुए वे प्रभु की स्तुति करते, और प्रतिदिन परमेश्वर, जिन्हें उद्धार मिल जाता, उन्हें उनके दल में और जोड़ देता।

42. അവർ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ ഉപദേശം കേട്ടും കൂട്ടായ്മ ആചരിച്ചും അപ്പം നുറക്കിയും പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിച്ചും പോന്നു.

43. എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭയമായി; അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരാൽ ഏറിയ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും നടന്നു.

44. വിശ്വസിച്ചവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്നു

45. സകലവും പൊതുവക എന്നു എണ്ണുകയും ജന്മഭൂമികളും വസ്തുക്കളും വിറ്റു അവനവന്നു ആവശ്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ എല്ലാവർക്കും പങ്കിടുകയും,

46. ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു ദിനംപ്രതി ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കൂടിവരികയും വീട്ടിൽ അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു ഉല്ലാസവും ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയും പൂണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയും ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കയും സകല ജനത്തിന്റെയും കൃപ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. കർത്താവു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെ ദിനംപ്രതി സഭയോടു ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

12. Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

13. for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

14. Do all things without murmuring and arguing,

15. so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world.

16. It is by your holding fast to the word of life that I can boast on the day of Christ that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

17. But even if I am being poured out as a libation over the sacrifice and the offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you—

18. and in the same way you also must be glad and rejoice with me. Timothy and Epaphroditus

12. इसलिए मेरे प्रियों, तुम मेरे निर्देशों का जैसा उस समय पालन किया करते थे जब मैं तुम्हारे साथ था, अब जबकि मैं तुम्हारे साथ नहीं हूँ तब तुम और अधिक लगन से उनका पालन करो। परमेश्वर के प्रति सम्पूर्ण आदर भाव के साथ अपने उद्धार को पूरा करने के लिये तुम लोग काम करते जाओ।

13. क्योंकि वह परमेश्वर ही है जो उन कामों की इच्छा और उन्हें पूरा करने का कर्म, जो परमेश्वर को भाते हैं, तुम में पैदा करता है।

14. बिना कोई शिकायत या लड़ाई झगड़ा किये सब काम करते रहो,

15. ताकि तुम भोले भाले और पवित्र बन जाओ। तथा इस कुटिल और पथभ्रष्ट पीढ़ी के लोगों के बीच परमेश्वर के निष्कलंक बालक बन जाओ। उन के बीच अंधेरी दुनिया में तुम उस समय तारे बन कर चमको

16. जब तुम उन्हें जीवनदायी सुसंदेश सुनाते हो। तुम ऐसा ही करते रहो ताकि मसीह के फिर से लौटने के दिन मैं यह देख कर कि मेरे जीवन की भाग दौड़ बेकार नहीं गयी, तुम पर गर्व कर सकूँ।

17. तुम्हारा विश्वास एक बलि के रूप में है और यदि मेरा लहू तुम्हारी बलि पर दाखमधु के समान उँडेल दिया भी जाये तो मुझे प्रसन्नता है। तुम्हारी प्रसन्नता में मेरा भी सहभाग है।

18. उसी प्रकार तुम भी प्रसन्न रहो और मेरे साथ आनन्द मनाओ।

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു, പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലായ്പോഴും അനുസരിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ അരികത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മാത്രമല്ല ഇന്നു ദൂരത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏറ്റവും അധികമായി ഭയത്തോടും വിറയലോടും കൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കായി പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിൻ.

14. വക്രതയും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയുടെ നടുവിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അനിന്ദ്യരും പരമാർത്ഥികളും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കമക്കളും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു എല്ലാം പിറുപിറുപ്പും വാദവും കൂടാതെ ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

15. അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ജീവന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ലോകത്തിൽ ജ്യോതിസ്സുകളെപ്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.

16. അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഓടിയതും അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചതും വെറുതെയായില്ല എന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിൽ എനിക്കു പ്രശംസ ഉണ്ടാകും.

17. എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം എന്ന യാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ എന്റെ രക്തം ഒഴിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാൻ സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളോടു എല്ലാവരോടുംകൂടെ സന്തോഷിക്കും.

18. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളും സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ; എന്നോടുകൂടെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ;

28. One of the scribes came near and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, he asked him, “Which commandment is the first of all?”

29. Jesus answered, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one;

30. you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

31. The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

32. Then the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher; you have truly said that ‘he is one, and besides him there is no other’;

33. and ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one’s neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

34. When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” After that no one dared to ask him any question. The Question about David’s Son

28. फिर एक यहूदी धर्मशास्त्री आया और उसने उन्हें वाद-विवाद करते सुना। यह देख कर कि यीशु ने उन्हें किस अच्छे ढंग से उत्तर दिया है, उसने यीशु से पूछा, “सबसे अधिक महत्त्वपूर्ण आदेश कौन सा है?”

29. यीशु ने उत्तर दिया, “सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण आदेश यह है: ‘हे इस्राएल, सुन! केवल हमारा परमेश्वर ही एकमात्र प्रभु है।

30. समूचे मन से, समूचे जीवन से, समूची बुद्धि से और अपनी सारी शक्ति से तुझे प्रभु अपने परमेश्वर से प्रेम करना चाहिये।’

31. दूसरा आदेश यह है: ‘अपने पड़ोसी से वैसे ही प्रेम कर जैसे तू अपने आप से करता है।’ इन आदेशों से बड़ा और कोई आदेश नहीं है।”

32. इस पर यहूदी धर्मशास्त्री ने उससे कहा, “गुरु, तूने ठीक कहा। तेरा यह कहना ठीक है कि परमेश्वर एक है, उसके अलावा और दूसरा कोई नहीं है।

33. अपने समूचे मन से, सारी समझ-बूझ से, सारी शक्ति से परमेश्वर को प्रेम करना और अपने समान अपने पड़ोसी से प्यार रखना, सारी बलियों और समर्पित भेटों से जिनका विधान किया गया है, अधिक महत्त्वपूर्ण है।”

34. जब यीशु ने देखा कि उस व्यक्ति ने समझदारी के साथ उत्तर दिया है तो वह उससे बोला, “तू परमेश्वर के राज्य से दूर नहीं है।” इसके बाद किसी और ने उससे कोई और प्रश्न पूछने का साहस नहीं किया। क्या मसीह दाऊद का पुत्र या दाऊद का प्रभु है?

28. ശാസ്ത്രിമാരിൽ ഒരുവൻ അടുത്തുവന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ തർക്കിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടു അവൻ അവരോടു നല്ലവണ്ണം ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞപ്രകാരം ബോധിച്ചിട്ടു: എല്ലാറ്റിലും മുഖ്യകല്പന ഏതു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു യേശു:

29. എല്ലാറ്റിലും മുഖ്യകല്പനയോ: “യിസ്രായേലേ, കേൾക്ക; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവു ഏക കർത്താവു.

30. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവിനെ നീ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടും പൂർണ്ണശക്തിയോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം, എന്നു ആകുന്നു.

31. രണ്ടാമത്തേതോ: “കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം” എന്നത്രേ; ഇവയിൽ വലുതായിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു കല്പനയും എല്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

32. ശാസ്ത്രി അവനോടു: നന്നു, ഗുരോ, നീ പറഞ്ഞതു സത്യം തന്നേ; ഏകനേയുള്ളൂ; അവനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല.

33. അവനെ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണ മനസ്സോടും പൂർണ്ണശക്തിയോടുംകൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതും തന്നെപ്പോലെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതും സകല സർവ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങളെക്കാളും യാഗങ്ങളെക്കാളും സാരമേറിയതു തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. അവൻ ബുദ്ധിയോടെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു: നീ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തോടു അകന്നവനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവനോടു ആരും ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.
