This church was formed in 1981 as one of the four parishes into which the Mar Thoma Congregation of Greater New York was divided. The new parish started with 63 families. The dedication service of the new parish was held at the Synod Hall on 110 Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan on January 25, 1981 and was led by the Episcopal Bishop of New York...

His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan

Mar Theodosius studied at Baselious College, Kottayam (1966) and Mar Thoma College, Thiruvalla (1969). After taking a degree in Science he joined Leonard Theological College and took BD Degree in 1972. His ordination as ‘Kasseesa‘ was in the year February 24, 1973.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa

Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa ( Rev. Dr. K.U.Abraham) was born on 16th August 1953 as the son of Kanjirathara KC Uthuppu and Sosamma of Kottayam Manganam St. Peters Mar Thoma Parish. He completed school education from Muttampalam Govt. LP School and Kottayam MT Seminary High School. College education was done in CMS college and Baselios College of Kottayam. Theological study was done in Kottayam Mar Thoma Theological Seminary.

Dear Parishioners, I greet you all in the name of Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ who resurrected from dead. This year the month of April is blessed with the observance of Great Lent, passion week and the grand culmination of Easter. The Passion (from Latin patior, to suffer, bear, endure ) is the short final period before the death of Jesus, described in the four canonical gospels. Here we commemorate Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem, fulfillment of prophecies and the beginning of the end of Jesus earthly ministry.

Beloved in Christ, How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns. Isaiah 52:7 During Holy Week, we walk with Jesus through suffering and sacrifice. We remember the feet that walked toward betrayal, carried a cross up Golgothas hill, and were pierced with nails for our sins.
