Dear Beloved St. Thomas Family,
Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
As we enter the month of July, our hearts overflow with
gratitude to God for His abundant mercy, unfailing love,
and countless blessings upon our church and every family.
The Lord faithfully guided us through the first half of this year. Though we
have faced challenges, His grace has sustained us, His peace has strengthened
us, and His faithfulness has never failed. Let us continue to place our complete
trust in Him, knowing that He who has led us thus far will continue to guide us
in the days ahead.
This month also calls us to remember the needs of the world around us. Let us
uphold in our prayers the people of Venezuela, especially those affected by
the recent earthquake. May God comfort the grieving, strengthen the injured,
and provide hope to all who have suffered loss. We also thank God for every
sincere effort toward peace among nations. We pray that the recently signed
peace agreement between the United States and Iran may help foster stability,
understanding, and lasting peace. As followers of Christ, we are called to be
faithful intercessors for our world.
July is a special month for our nation as we celebrate 250 years of American
Independence. We thank God for the blessings of freedom, justice, and oppor-
tunity that this country has provided. Let us pray for our nation, its leaders, and
all who serve the common good, asking God to grant wisdom, unity, right-
eousness, and peace.
On July 3, we joyfully commemorate St. Thomas Day, remembering the
Apostle who brought the Gospel to India. May his life of faith, courage, and
witness inspire us to remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ and His
Church.
This is also our Tithe Offering Month. Tithing is not merely a financial re-
sponsibility but an act of gratitude and worship. As God has generously
blessed us, let us respond with thankful and cheerful hearts, offering back to
Him a portion of what He has entrusted to us for the growth of His Kingdom.
I also request you to remember in your daily prayers the clergy of our Church.
Pray that God may grant them spiritual wisdom, good health, strength, and
faithfulness as they shepherd His people and proclaim His Word.
Our parish has several important ministries during this month. Our Youth Re-
treat will be held from July 17–19. I encourage all our young people to partic-
ipate wholeheartedly and experience spiritual renewal and deeper fellowship
with Christ.
We also look forward to our Vacation Bible School (VBS) from July 29 to
August 2, with our Elderly Bible School (EBS) sessions on July 30, 31, and
August 1. These ministries are wonderful oppor-
tunities for both children and senior members to

grow in God’s Word, strengthen their faith, and
enjoy Christian fellowship. I encourage every
eligible member to participate prayerfully.
May this month be filled with renewed faith, joyful service, generous giving,
and steadfast hope. Let us continue to walk together as one family in Christ,
reflecting His love in our homes, our church, and our community.
May the Lord richly bless you and your families.

Youth Fellowship
Youth fellowship will be hosting the annual youth retreat this summer
from July 17
th
to 19
th
at Sandy Cove Ministries in Maryland.
Main Speaker : Shaun Rajan.
We encourage all youth over the age of 13 to participate.
Cost : $175.
Additionally the youth fellowship is requesting donations for this
retreat. If you are able, please consider donating.

Youth Chaplain’s Corner
Glory be to the Father, to the Son,
and the Holy Spirit, one true God. Amen.
Beloved in Christ,
The Apostles' fast we just completed is an im-
portant part of our journey with God. It is a
time to slow down, reflect, and grow closer to
Him. This time of prayer has helped us see
more clearly why we are here in this world.
Each of us has a purpose, and so does the Church. God has prepared
good works for each of us to walk in.
On the night before His suffering, Jesus prayed for His disciples. This
prayer, found in St. John 17:11, shows us clearly what Jesus came to do
and how much He wanted His followers to be united. "...Holy Father,
keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be
one, even as we are one." (St. John 17:11). Jesus did not pray only for
those with Him that night. He prayed for all who would believe in Him.
This prayer allows us to know how important unity and community are
to our faith.
Jesus was sent with a purpose. He came on a mission of love to free us
from sin, hopelessness, death, and fear. He saw glory in the cross, not
shame. Jesus did not depend on His own strength to do His Father's
will. Instead, He trusted His Father to give Him strength, courage, and
endurance to face opposition, hardship, and temptation. We too must
take up our cross and follow wherever He calls us. The Holy Spirit,
whom Jesus promised to send, will give us that same strength and pow-
er to live as His disciples.
Each of us has a unique role in God's plan. He created us for a specific
purpose.
There is a job only you can do.
God knows the plans He has for us, plans for our good, to give us a
future and a hope.
That calling might be as simple as showing love and kindness to those
around you, or it might mean dedicating your life to a cause that re-
flects God's love. It could be teaching, healing, standing up for justice,
or any act that brings God's love into the world. Whatever we do, we
are called to do it wholeheartedly, as for the Lord. It is our responsibil-
ity to find and live out that purpose. And when we do, we find a life
full of meaning.

We have a mission. God did not create us
for nothing. We are called to share Christ's love, be a light in the world,
and bring others closer to God. Jesus calls us to be a light that cannot be
hidden and to go out and make disciples of all nations.
Do we truly trust God and what He is calling us to do? We can under-
stand His call through prayer, reading Scripture, and seeking guidance
from trusted spiritual guides. When we trust in God with all our heart
and stop leaning on our own understanding, He will make our paths
straight. When we trust in God's call, we grow closer to Him. And He
gives us the strength and courage to carry out our mission.

This year's Urban Mission will take place on July 18-23, 2026 in Philadelphia. It will be
a meaningful opportunity to serve, connect, and live out our faith together. Additional
details will be shared through the NERYF Instagram account. Please keep this ministry
in your prayers.
3. Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference (DYFC)
The DYFC will be held from Thursday to Sunday July 23-26, 2026, at Ascension Mar
Thoma Church in Philadelphia. The theme is "Corrected Not Canceled," based on He-
brews 12:5–6, with Rev. Mack Brandon as the main speaker. Please keep this confer-

Mrs. Mariamma Abraham, grandmother of our member Mrs. Smitha Sabu
( 105 N Harrison Ave, Congers) was called to eternal rest on June 5th at the
age of 93. Funeral services were held on June 10th in Neeratupuram, Kerala.
Lintu Aby Ninan, cousin of our member Mr. Mathew Ouseph (4 Arrow
Lane, New City) was called to eternal rest on June 22nd in New York at the
age of 42. Funeral services were conducted June 27th in Rockland.
Philip Thomas (Thankachan), was called to eternal rest on June 27
