Dear Parishioners,
I greet you all in the name of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ. Let's thank
Lord for the blessings of month of June
which marks the beginning of summer,
a warm season with plenty of fun in the
sun. May all our gatherings warm our
spirituality. Let me congratulate all our
students who graduated and successful-
ly completed their courses. May Lord
bless them to have a good future in a
blessed career.
In the month of June, the church medi-
tates on the theme "Calling and com-
mission of the disciples of Jesus." The
fast of the apostles (sleeha nombu) is
observed these days. Therefore, it's a reminder that we should be
able to live with the conviction that God calls and assigns us for His
tasks.
On June 9th, the church observes as the Environment Sunday. We
should work alongside the rest of our diverse teams in the society to
shape a sustainable future for the present and coming generations. At
this time, I especially call upon the members of the Youth Fellow-
ship to observe Environmental Sunday well. The last week of June
we meditate on The glorious appearance of Jesus Christ and the dis-
ciples who need to be vigilant. We must be able to be a community
that is ready for the second coming of Christ. Let me appreciate your
participation in all the needs of the parish and I would like to remind
you to confirm your generous participation in GSF, Subscription and
Diocesan Day Collection. All organizations and area prayer groups
are reminded to schedule individual meetings during the summer
seasons.
May Lord help us to enjoy and spend summer creatively.

Youth Chaplain’s Message
Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit - One True God!
Beloved family in Christ, I write to you with a heart full of love and a message of
hope.
By God's grace, we have concluded these past months with the remembrances of the
feasts of Easter, Ascension and Pentecost! And what a beautiful journey it has been.
These days and the days leading, we were able to meditate on the Word of God daily,
strengthen our prayer life by setting aside dedicated time for prayer, and we did the
will of God by being obedient to His example through our help in the community.
As we move past these special days, let's keep uniting our minds and bodies to draw
closer to God by remembering and glorifying our love for God through our words,
thoughts, and actions. These efforts are crucial for our spiritual growth as we contin-
ue to be His children in our journeys in life. Today, and in the coming days, we
should ask ourselves a simple question: Does my God know me by my "works of the
flesh" or the "fruit of the Spirit"?
Our faith must be integrated into our lives; it's not just for Sunday or the trials and
celebrations we experience - but every day. Family, we are a community of believers
who have been blessed and called to lend a helping hand—and stand with those fac-
ing challenges and sorrows. Remember, these earnest efforts are an important aspect
of our Christian heritage, and commitment is meant not to glorify the self but God
alone, who, through his love for us, came and touched each one of us with true and
everlasting peace.
In 1963, Bill Gaither wrote a wonderful hymn, "He Touched Me," which reads.
"Shackled by a heavy burden,
Neath, a load of guilt and shame
then the hand of Jesus touched me,
and I am no longer the same
Since I met this blessed Saviour,
Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him
I'll shout it while eternity rolls
He touched me, Oh He touched me,
and oh, the joy that floods my soul
something happened, and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole."
Let's always remember that we've all been touched by Christ and we are all they bet-
ter because of it. Therefore, let's fully commit to developing a closer connection with
God, walking alongside Him, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our lifestyles.

OBITUARY
Mr. Yohannan Abraham ( Joy) brother in law of our member Mr.
Cheryian Varughese (brother of Mrs. Annee Cheriyan) went to be
with the Lord in Kerala at the age of 72 on Saturday May 11, 2024 .
Funeral Services were held in Mannanam, Kottayam, Kerala
Mrs. Ciciliamma Thomas Panicker, mother of our member Mrs.
Sheeba Johnkutty, passed away on May 22nd at 3AM at the age of
88 in Kundara, Kerala, India. Funeral and wake services were held at
St. Thomas Orthodox Valliyapalli, Kundara, Kerala
Mrs. Rachel Malathu, sister of our members Kuruvilla and Koshy
Pallickal went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 19
th
at 1.50 PM.
Wake and Funeral services were held on Tuesday May 21
st
at 8.30
AM at Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, 575 Columbus Ave, Thorn-
wood NY 10594 and thereafter the interment at Kensico Cemetery
Mrs. Annamma Mathew, wife of the eldest brother of Mr. K.G. Var-
ghese went to be with the Lord, on Friday morning in Ernakulam,
Kerala, India at the age of 90. Funeral service were held at 3:00 pm
on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St. Thomas Mar Thomas Church,
Kalamassery, Kerala, India.
on behalf of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, I express our sincere
condolences to the bereaving families and pray that God give them
sufficient courage and strength to face this difficult time.
