Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Let's thank God
for the blessed month of August. Let's welcome September - the month of Fall.I ex-
press my love and thanks to those who participated in our Parish picnic last month,
especially the Conveners who worked hard.
We observe the first Sunday as *Education Day*. After a wonderful vaca-
tion, it's time for our kids to go to school as they begin their new Academic year.
Many of our children have left their homes and gone to distant colleges. Let's pray
that our children will grow in God's faith and God's knowledge while gaining worldly
knowledge. It's also a time to remember those kids who are not able to receive good
education due to various circumstances. As we begin our new Academic year of Sun-
day school too, I request and encourage all parents to prepare their kids to attend
Sunday School regularly.
Along with the nation we celebrate this September 4th as Labor day, the
Federal holiday celebrates the immense contribution of workers in the US, who help
in the nation's progress and development. Everyone is invited to attend and partici-
pate in the BBQ program organized by our Youth Fellowship on that day. We pray
that our youth will be able to work towards the progress of our society and communi-
ty. The second week is observed as Sevika Sanghom week, the theme is *'Women the
apostle of Christ'.* Let all women in the family, in the church, in the workplace, and
in the society be good witnesses who impart love, mercy and compassion of Christ.
May God help all the programs organized by our Sevika Sanghom to be a blessing to
others. Let's glorify God for our Senior Citizens Fellowship. We observe the third
Sunday as *Senior Citizen Day* . May the experience and wisdom of Senior Citizens
be an asset to the next generation.
Our Church Retreat will be held from September 22nd to 24th, 2022 at
Montrose, Pennsylvania. Retreats are always helpful to separate us from our daily life
schedule and to meditate on the Word of God. It is also a time for families in the
Parish to understand and get to know each other better. Theme of our retreat is
*“Navigating Family: In God’s Positioning System”* (Genesis 45:7). I humbly request
your sincere prayers and participation for the same. The last Sunday, the Church con-
templates the second coming of Christ. Let us always be ready and watchful for
Christ's second coming.
A gentle reminder, that all our area prayer groups
meet regularly, and try to meet in person as much as possible.
Your special attention is invited to the financial affairs of our
Parish. Kindly co-operate in paying the Diocesan day collec-
tion (dues) and other incomes under the various heads at the
earliest.
Wishing all the kids a blessed school year. May the
Lord bless us all.
With prayers and love
